The outside of the medical surge tent at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar CrestIn an effort to provide the best level of care and protection for all of our patients, we have set up a secondary emergency department outside of the ER at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest to treat patients with flu-like symptoms.

Lehigh Valley Health Network has experienced an influx of patients suffering from flu-like illness. The “mobile surge tent” will help prevent spreading the virus to others who need emergency care.
Patients who are experiencing flu-like symptoms still should report to the main ER entrance for assessment before being escorted to the designated treatment area.
