Getting Stronger Together

Life is filled with ups and down as well as arthritis, sprains, strains, broken bones and other injuries that can keep you from doing what you need to – like blow drying your hair or comfortably operating a computer mouse.

To help you get back on track, the physical, occupational, speech and certified hand therapists at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Rehabilitation Services (formerly Riverside Rehabilitation) can create a customized exercise program to restore function, enhance mobility and reduce pain.

“Our rehabilitation programs are tailored to meet your unique lifestyle needs and challenges,” says Linda Salas-Mamary, an occupational and certified hand therapist and manager of rehabilitation at LVH–Pocono. For children and adults, “our goal is to return you to your regular routine as quickly and safely as possible,” she says.

LVHN Rehabilitation Services programs include:

  • Physical therapy using exercise, manual therapy and treatments such as ice, heat or electrical stimulation to help you reach your maximum physical potential and your rehabilitation goals.

  • Occupational therapy to help improve your range of motion, strength, coordination and sensation so you can more easily perform everyday tasks at work and at home.

  • Work injury rehabilitation, with job simulation and treatment programs that can help you safely transition back to work.

  • Speech therapy with certified speech therapists who treat both children and adults with auditory processing disorders, difficulties with articulation and word fluency, swallowing problems, voice conditions and other communication disorders.

  • Cancer rehabilitation to minimize symptoms and improve wellbeing.

  • Vestibular programs to reduce vertigo and dizziness to help you feel steadier on your feet.

  • Hand therapy for injuries, arthritis and recovery from hand surgery.
