How LVHN is Making Surgery COVID-SAFE for You

Did you put your surgery on hold due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak? Rest assured that your safety is our No. 1 priority at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). You can confidently reschedule your surgery knowing that your health partner has the region’s only COVID-FREE facilities. At the start of the pandemic, we placed three facilities on lockdown to protect them from COVID-19. These stand-alone buildings have never seen a COVID-19 case:

Since opening for elective surgeries, we also put several safety measures in place to protect you. So, don’t put your health on hold. Should you or a loved one need elective surgery, you can be at ease because we are taking every step possible to provide the safe care you deserve. Watch the video or read the transcript below to learn about the safety precautions we are taking to deliver the care you trust.

At LVHN, we are committed to keeping you and your loved ones safe.

That’s why we are taking every step possible to provide COVID-SAFE care.

We have the region’s only COVID-FREE facilities open for elective surgeries.

Since March, these stand-alone buildings have been quarantined so they have never seen a COVID-19 case.

Stringent cleaning protocols are in place to help ensure operating rooms, patient rooms, equipment and all surfaces are COVID-FREE.

Our caregivers wear protective equipment to keep you safe.

They are screened daily and tested regularly.

Everyone who is COVID-FREE wears a green wristband.

Pre-surgery assessments, registration and check-in are completed virtually.

Surgery times are also staggered to ensure social distancing.

A screening is performed prior to your surgery or procedure.

Using the EASE app, loved ones can stay informed while not remaining in Lehigh Valley hospitals during your procedure.

You can confidently schedule an elective surgery right now.
