Lehigh Valley Health Network Makes 2019 Top Workplaces List

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) has been named a Top Workplace in the Lehigh Valley for 2019. The list of the Top Workplaces is compiled annually by The Morning Call. LVHN ranks No. 4 among large employers on the 2019 list and was also named the Lehigh Valley’s Top Workplace for Training. LVHN has locations in the Lehigh Valley, the Hazleton area, Schuylkill County and the Poconos.

The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. About 1,000 LVHN employees completed the anonymous survey which measures several aspects of workplace culture.

“First and foremost, what makes LVHN a great place to work and grow are our 18,000 employees,” said LVHN President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian Nester, DO, MBA, FACOEP. “It takes great people to create a great organization, and our employees make LVHN a great place to work and an exceptional place for care.”

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

LVHN is the largest employer in the Lehigh Valley. The health network provides employees generous paid time off, a comprehensive health and wellness program, professional and leadership development, rewards for success and recognition for achievements.
