LVH–Hazleton Offers Free Valet Service

Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Hazleton announces the launch of a complimentary valet parking service for patients and visitors beginning March 11. A curbside attendant will assist with parking at the hospital’s main temporary entrance, easing access to the facility and coordinating traffic at the entrance during the major emergency room (ER) expansion project currently under way.

This free parking service runs from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days a week, with all cars parked on the hospital grounds. Patients and visitors who wish to use this service should drive up to the temporary entrance, present their vehicle keys to the attendant, receive a claim ticket and proceed inside the hospital to their destination. Do not leave your vehicle unattended. Valets will approach your vehicle and assist you with parking.

To retrieve your vehicle, turn in the claim ticket to the valet station. Your vehicle will be returned to you in the area where it was dropped off. If you have not claimed your vehicle by 6 p.m., proceed to the ER registration desk for assistance.

“The ER expansion project at the hospital, while an exciting step forward for health care in our community, caused the elimination of some prime parking spaces in front of the hospital,” says John Fletcher, LVH–Hazleton President. “This has resulted in congestion on the hospital campus and a temporary inconvenience to our patients and visitors. The valet service will help reduce the time patients and visitors circle the campus looking for a place to park and will get them to their destination quicker.” Fletcher hopes the community takes advantage of this free service.

Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton partnered with Towne Park to provide this service. This is the same professional valet service used at other Lehigh Valley Health Network facilities.
