LVHN Adds Physicians and Nurse Practitioners at LVH-Hazleton
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is increasing the Greater Hazleton community’s access to health care services with the addition of four physicians and two nurse practitioners, who have joined the network at LVH-Hazleton and are accepting new patients.
Daniel Benyo, MD, of Drums, is a member LVPG Geriatric and Internal Medicine. He sees patients at the LVPG Geriatrics and Internal Medicine-Lantern Lane office in Conyngham.
He received his medical training at The Commonwealth Medical College and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He is a member of the American Geriatrics Society and the Luzerne County Medical Society.
Patrick Fiero, MD, of Berwick, provides obstetrics/gynecology care at LVPG Obstetrics and Gynecology-Alliance Drive, Hazle Township. He previously was on staff at Berwick Hospital Center, Waynesboro Hospital and Holy Redeemer Medical Center, Meadow Brook.
Fiero received his medical degree from the New York Medical College at the State University of New York and completed a residency in OB/GYN at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Staten Island, NY. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics/Gynecology.
Joshua Nochumson, MD, has joined LVPG Surgery at the Health & Wellness Center, Hazle Township, to provide general and colorectal surgery. He comes from Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains, NJ, where he maintained a practice that included a high volume of laparoscopic (small incisions) and robotic procedures, colonoscopies and treated anorectal disease.
Nochumson completed a colorectal fellowship and general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, TX. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas—Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. He is certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
Richard Tomczyk Jr., DO, obstetrics and gynecologist, has joined LVPG Obstetrics and Gynecology-Alliance Drive, Hazle Township. He previously treated patients at Berwick Hospital Center, Sunbury Community Hospital and Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Clare, MI, and at other hospitals.
Tomczyk completed a combined internship and residency in OB/GYN at Michigan Osteopathic Medical Center, Detroit, MI. He earned his doctor of osteopathy degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, MO. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstrics/Gynecology and the American College of Surgeons.
Saundra Y. Portelli, ACNPC-AG, of Catawissa, is a certified nurse practitioner at LVPG Physiatry—Health & Wellness Center, Hazle Township. She earned her nurse practitioner degree at Walden University, her bachelor’s in nursing at Ohio University and her registered nurse degree at Penn College of Technology.
Portelli is a nursing instructor at Pennsylvania College of Technology and has worked as a registered nurse at Geisinger Medical Center.
Cortney Repanshek, CRNP, has joined LVPG Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology–14th Street, Hazleton. She earned her nurse practitioner degree at Wilkes University and her bachelor’s in nursing at Misericordia University. She is a member of the American Nurses Association.
Jillian McArdle, CRNP, a nurse practitioner, has joined LVPG Family Medicine-Hometown. She earned her nurse practitioner degree at The University of Scranton,where she also received her master’s in nursing. She received her bachelor’s in nursing from Misericordia University.
