LVHN Colleague Screening Policy
Colleagues will be screened for fever beginning Tuesday, March 24, at LVHN hospitals and LVPG practices.
As part of our ongoing effort to ensure safety for patients, staff and our community during the COVID-19 outbreak, colleagues coming into work at LVHN hospitals, LVHN Health Centers and LVPG practices will be screened starting with some locations March 24 and all locations March 25.
This latest effort follows the Hospital Visitor Screening Policy that went into effect March 20.
Colleagues will have their temperature taken when they arrive for work. If they have a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, they will be instructed to go home and self-isolate. If they also experience respiratory symptoms, they will be instructed to go to an LVHN Assess and Test location and be tested for COVID-19 before going home to self-isolate.
The colleague screenings follow the “No Visitation, No Access Policy” we put in place March 15, which is still in effect to help protect the health of our patients and caregivers.
Remember to take these steps to stay healthy:
- Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.
- Practice social distancing.
- Know the symptoms.
If you’re sick, stay home.
