LVHN Mammogram Screenings Now Available
BY JENN FISHER
LVHN Breast Health Services has reopened 15 locations to provide screening mammograms for women, age 40+. During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) could only offer diagnostic mammography services for women with suspected breast cancer.
Colleagues at all locations are following important safety measures:
Everyone receives a temperature screening at the door.
Patient arrival times are staggered, and waiting room seating is spaced to support social distancing.
Everyone must wear a face mask.
We offer hand sanitizer as you arrive for your appointment.
At the registration desk, a clear acrylic panel is in place to protect you and our staff.
Our caregivers wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety guidelines.
We wipe down the mammography machine in your presence.
Our dressing and exam rooms are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
We’re ready to welcome you.
In addition, Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute’s Mobile Mammography Coach is now offering screening mammograms too. Schedule an appointment for a screening mammogram on the Mobile Mammography Coach by visiting LVHN.org/mammocoach.
Mammograms are an important type of preventive screening, helping to identify cancer at its earliest stages. Should you need follow-up care, Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute offers comprehensive breast cancer treatment, access to more clinical trials than anyone in the region, as well as advances in cancer treatment offered through our membership in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance.
Scheduling an appointment for a screening mammogram is easy and convenient. Just log in to your MyLVHN account or call us at 888-402-LVHN (5846).
