Pediatrician Returns Home to Care For Our Next Generation

BY MICHAEL PECKMAN

For Bhumi Patel, MD, it is a homecoming of sorts. The Mountain Top native has returned to Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) as a board-certified pediatrician. Patel is accepting new patients (infants to age 18) at Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG)–Mountain Top.

Patel grew up in Mountain Top and is a graduate of Crestwood School District. After receiving her undergraduate degree in biology from Wilkes University, Patel earned her medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. She recently completed her pediatric residency with LVHN and is currently practicing in Hazleton.

As a pediatrician, my goal is to provide compassionate and dedicated care using evidence-based medicine,” says Patel. “My commitment is to community health engagement and quality improvement.”

Choosing your child’s health care provider is an important decision. LVPG Pediatrics provides a wide variety of care, including wellness exams for babies and children, school and sports physicals, same-day sick appointments, treatment of chronic disease such as asthma and diabetes as well as providing vaccinations and more.

Patel sees pediatric patients at both LVPG Pediatrics–Mountain Top at the Health Center at Mountain Top and LVPG Pediatrics–Hazleton Shopping Center in Hazleton.

Appointments are accepted by calling 888-402-LVHN (5846) or if you have proxy access to your child’s MyLVHN account, you can schedule an appointment through MyLVHN.org or the MyLVHN app.
